UFC 220 Main Card Results

UFC 220 Main Card Results & Brief Breakdown

Co-Mian Event featuring Light heavyweight Championship, Daniel Cormier vs. Volkan, like Cormier said there are levels to the game, he was right! In the first round Cormier almost had the fight finished with neck lock but Volkan was lucky enough to hear the time getting over for the first round.
The second round was not different either, Cormier takes down Volkan and finishes the fight with KO

As I always say, I would love to see Cormier fight against Jon Jones soon!

Main Event featuring the heavyweight bout between Ngannou & Miocic.

>Other than throwing a couple of good punches Ngannou didn’t do much and was out of gas tank in the second round. Miocic was all over him, throwing leg kicks and then utilizing single leg grip to take the giant down. I was not at all expecting the fight to go
in the later rounds but I was lucky engough to witness it. Heavyweight fights specially championship oriented doesn’t last that long often.
Miocic and Ngannou both have earned respect from millions around the world. Miocic proved a point that it’s more about technique and not only about power in punches. I wish both fighters the best. Miocic becomes the best heavyweight fighter of the world to have defended the UFC heavyweight title for the third time

UFC 220 Updates & Prediction

UFC 220 Updates and Prediction:

Francis Ngannou gave a bold statement by saying that he thought Overeem was the best striker in heavyweight division after him, because he is the best. He said that Miocic is champion for a reason but he is the best. When asked that will Miocic try to wrestle? Ngannou said that he is continuously working on his wrestling skills and will give Miocic tough time

Brief Introduction about Ngannou:

Born on 5th Sept, 1986 in Cameroon. Ngannou is ranked the number one contender in heavy weight UFC division as per UFC and ESPN

He currently holds the record for highest punch power ever measured by the UFC, at 129,161 units. He broke the previous record set by kickboxing champ Tyrone Spong which was at 114,000 units

My opinion:

I have not seen a heavy weight fighter which is as fast as Ngannou and with his striking power, I am quite sure, if he touches Miocic, it will be goodnight for him

My prediction UFC 220:

My prediction is that Francis will win the heavyweight bout against Stipe Miocic

Physical Features (Ngannou):

Height: 1.93 m

Weight: 118 kg

Reach: 83 in (210 cm)

MMA record for Francis Ngannou:

He won 11 fights and lost only one against Zoumana Cisse in terms of Unanimous decision. Francis won four fights with submission but his most recent fight against Overeem shows his punching power and skills

On the whole, I am expecting a brutal knockout from Francis but Miocic is a champion for a reason and if he is able to overcome the challenges put in his way by Ngannou, he will set the record of being the best heavy weight fighter to have defended heavyweight title for consecutive three times

ufc 220 miocic vs ngannou

Stipe Miocic has an impressive record of 17 wins and 2 losses. It will be a good competition and as a UFC lover I can’t wait to see the two heavyweight fighters fight inside cage

Miocic lost against Junior dos Santos and Stefan Struve

In his second fight against Junior dos Santos, he won by TKO punch

Both fighters and brilliant in different areas and I guess Miocic should try to mix up attacks and manage distance accordingly to have a win against Ngannou

UFC 220 Miocic vs. Ngannou

UFC 220 Miocic vs. Ngannou will be held on January 20th 2018 at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts

Ngannou vs Miocic Heavyweight bout (Main Event)

Let me give you a heads up, Miocic might set a record of defending heavy weight championship for the third consecutive time, if he does, his name will go in the history as the most successful heavy weight to have ever existed (UFC history) Dana mentioned it at the press conference following this statement ‘Ngannou holds the record for the most powerful punch with 96 horse power’ considering these points, I am waiting for the best heavyweight fight ever! Ngannou has destroyed his oppenents crashing them with a knock out punch. His last fight against Overeem says the whole story! Looking forward to the fight

Daniel Cormier vs Oezdemir Light Heavyweight championship (Co Main Event)

ufc 220

Cormier said himself that Oezdemir acheived a lot in a short period of time and that it’s impressive..Cormier gave example of Anthony Johnson destroying everyone when he came in his way and won against him

UFC Highlight:

Jon Jones will be having a hearing in a couple of months and might be able to return to Cage back again!

To be honest, I can’t wait to see Cormier fighting against Jon Jones again!
