UFC 209 took place on 4th of March, 2017.
Featuring great fights. Below is a brief breakdown:
Mark Hunt vs Alistar Overeem:
It was a rematch between the two fighters. The first time they fought, Alistar won the fight. First round was awesome and Mark showed great heart and spirit, although
Mark’s shin was cut open while Alistar blocked his kick.
2nd round was a close one, Mark throwed a couple of good shots but Alistar attacked several times with knees.
3rd round, Alistar knocked out Mark with a clean knee attack.
Cynthia Calvillo vs Amanda Cooper:
Cynthia wins with a submission lock. Great display of transitions and technique.
Rashad Evans vs Daniel Kelly:
Daniel is one of my favorite Judo fighters. It was Rashad’s middle weight debute fight. I give the first two rounds to Daniel as he was the more active fighter.
In such big events we all want to see fire works and it happened in the last round. Both fighters showed a lot of mutual respect for each other. Daniel deserved to
win this fight and he did.
–Don’t forget to watch out for UFC 210 featuring Anthony Johnson vs Daniel Cormier–
David Teymur vs Lando Vannata:
Both fighters have great fighting skill, knockout power and high pace. This was the best fight on the card when it comes to awesome technique and fire works. I enoyed
it a lot. David won the fight by unanimous decision.
Stephen Thompson vs Tyron Woodley:
I have a lot of respect for Stephen because he was able to survive the brutal attacks from Woodley and showed heart of a real figher in the las fight.
During the first two rounds, both fighters waited on each other but wonder boy threw more strikes. The later rounds Woodley had more prominent attacks and had wonder
boy in trouble. Woodley won the fight as majority decision and because he landed more significant strikes.
News: Khabib Nurmagomedov got hospitalized after weight cut, UFC 209 title fight with Tony Ferguson off
UFC 205 took place at Madison Square Garden on 12th of November at 7 PM Eastern Standard Time.
This event featured three title fights and broke PPV record making it one of the highest selling event.
Below are the details about the main fights on the card:
Conor Mcgregor vs Eddie Alvarez:
Most of the spectators were voting for Conor. As Conor predicted he won the fight in great fashion.
This dominant victory over Eddie made him the light weight UFC Champion of the world.
I was personally thinking that Eddie will give Conor hard time but it was the complete opposite. In the first round Conor knocked Eddie out twice with his famous left punch but couldn’t finish the fight in the first round. In the second round, it was the same and Conor won the fight catching Eddie with four consecutive punches. This has happened for the first time in the history of UFC, a fighter holding two belts in different weight divisions. If the fight could have gone to distance, Eddie might have won the fight but Conor was so sharp with his precision that he didn’t give Eddie a single chance. Hats off to Conor and wish Eddie the best! Conor knocked out Eddie in stunning way and became the light weight champion and now holds two belts lightweight and featherweight.
Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs Karolina Kowalkiewicz (strawweight):
It was a fun fight to watch. During the first three rounds Joanna was the prominent fighter and landed loads of leg kicks with great combinations. It took a lot of time for Karolina to get the momentum and rhythm. In the fourth round Karolina amazed Joanna with punches and elbow attack. Overall, it was a good fight and on the basis of points Joanna won the fight.
No doubt, a champion is a champion for a reason.
Tyron Woodley vs Stephen Thompson:
This was an incredible fight, Stephen Thompson survived hell of a beating from Tyron and showed great heart. The best part is that Stephen showed a big heart, a heart of a fighter.
He never tapped out while he was being choked.
In the fifth round it looked like Tyron has lost most of his energy and was tired. Wonderboy took advantage and landed some good punches in fifth round.
It was a draw and there will be a re-match soon.
Still the champion is Tyron Woodley.

The last UFC 204 held at Manchester Arena, Manchester, England on October 8th was closed with bitterness on Dan Henderson’s side. That was the last fight of him on his UFC career, but it has to be ended with his being given unanimous-decision loss over such an emotional fight against Michael Bisping, the English fighter who was beaten by the veteran on UFC 100.
Aside of the revengeful fight, the UFC 204’s main board was featured by another middleweight fight between Gegard Mousasi and Vitor Belfort, Jimi Manuwa vs Ovince Saint Preux, Stefan Struve vs Daniel Omielanczuk, and Mirsad Bektic against Russell Doane.
Michael Bisping vs Dan Henderson
Hendo was reportedly to have mentioned about retiring from his long-journeyed UFC career after defeating Hector Lombard in June. Yet, the plan was put on hold as he agreed to meet Bisping again on that last Saturday fight.
The fight was super entertaining, with both of them got fired up. Hendo was admitted to be on the upper side, raining down his best shots to Bisping for at least two-round long. Yet, the Englishman was in serious willingness to present himself as a tough fighter to Hendo and the world by sweeping away the last three rounds for his victory.
Gegard Mousasi vs Vitor Belfort
This co-main event between Mousasi and Belfort has at least given the two fighters more satisfying results, giving Mousasi an opportunity to end the fight on the second round. It was at 2:43 when the TKO’S victory revealed after Mousasi put down Belfort with his big head kick.
Jimi Manuwa vs Ovince Saint Preux
Preux was knocked out of the game at 2:38 after Manuwa came out with his series of fatal shots. Manuwa gave shot down Preux with a body shot followed with a left to the solar plexus and a right to the Preux’s jaw.
Stefan Struve vs Daniel Omielanczuk
Struve added his fifth-time win after getting an opportunity to defeat his opponent, Daniel Omielanczuk with a D’Arce choke at 1:41 of the second round. However, it was not easy for Struve to get the score as he admitted himself that his opponent was real tough.
Mirsad Bektic vs Russell Doane
On the featherweight game of the UFC 204’s main card, Mirsad Bektic needed 4 minutes and 22 seconds to beat Russell Doane with a rear-naked choke. It was Bektic’s first game after his 17-month break so it totally made sense if Bektic used all his techniques and energy to stop his opponent.
This year’s UFC 198 is approaching. There are only a few days left before the most anticipated mixed martial arts championship held in Brazil, with a match between Fabricio Werdum and Stipe Miocic put in the headline. The match is undeniably predicted to be so fun that every spectator would certainly get their adrenaline going.
Werdum is going to serve Miocic in Arena da Baixada stadium, Curitiba, Brazil on this Saturday, May 14th. The Brazilian fighter surely wants to defend his heavyweight title against Miocic on the 265-lbs party. No doubt that all eyes are on Werdum’s side, but Miocic would not let it easily happens, for he is a pretty tough opponent to tackle down. He is dangerous and that makes this main match worth witnessing.
Besides, on the line, there is going to be Anderson Silva vs Uriah Hall, which is also quite something. The upcoming UFC 198 on Pay-Per-View must have dragged every Brazilian on this earth to this match, for the match between Silva and Hall is foreseen to be even as great as what would be served by Werdum and Miocic.
In the same category as Silva and Hall, Cris Cyborg is arranged to serve Leslie Smith on 140 lbs, while Mauricio Rua will see Corey Anderson on 205 lbs. They are all making the main card which is started at 10pm ET truly fun and exciting.
Yet, MMA fans cannot miss the UFC 198’s co-main event which is going to be for Ronaldo Souza and Vitor Belfort. Most match prediction sees that Souza’s recent loss over Yoel Romero is his biggest disadvantage to bring to this match while Belfort is a bit on upper hand for his win against Dan Henderson. All those sayings are nothing until we get to the match and see how it will turn out.
Are you being much more excited? You should be, because more fighters would also entertain you that day on FOX Sports 1 in the Preliminary event started at 8pm ET. Demian Maia vs Matt Brown and Bryan Barberena vs Warlley Alves are among the matches you can wait for.
The matchup of Maia and Brown is predicted to be one of the match stars that day, for the two of them are rather on equal excitement to win the game. Brown has gained quite a number of wins which should not scare Maia, who seems to not let that happen this time. Overall, this Saturday night, you should really go nowhere.
Who would you like to replace Daniel Cormier against Jones at the UFC-197 Main Event?
So now since Daniel Cormier is almost out of the main event of UFC-197 against Jon Jones, the question is, who can replace him?
1. Anthony Johnson
Anthony Johnson was all-set to battle Jones for light heavy weight match in 2015 before the arrest & suspension of Jon Jones. Daniel Cormier then replaced Jones & lasted an initial storm to submit Anthony Johnson & grab the title. Rumble’s came back with 2 straight Knock Out Punches, which made this battle worthy of the UFC 197 main event.
2. Alexander “The Mauler” Gus
Alexander Gustafsson gave Jon Jones possibly his greatest challenge during UFC-165 in 2013, with Jones overriding in the decision win which earned Fight-of-the-Year awards from a number of outlets. Nevertheless, Gus has, in the meantime, lost 3 out of four battles, including to both Johnson as well as Cormier, who Knocked Out him during the 1st round. In Feb, Gus told FOX Sports that he still was looking to get back in order regain his mental advantage. If Gus is hungry enough to save his UFC career, a re-match against Jon Jones can provide him just the right inspiration which he desperately needs. This means, the UFC fans could enjoy another classic battle between these two. Nevertheless, that is a huge if.
3. Ovince Saint Preux
A slight stretch with Number 6 Ranked Light-Heavyweight, who has been involved in a main event of 2 Fight-Nights losing both the times. Ovince Preux does not have a good résumé in order to go head to head with Jon Jones. This may feel similar to a tune up & not a UFC Main Event.
4. Travis Browne
Travis Browne, Ronda Rowdy’s boyfriend is another heavyweight & supposed to battle Cain Ramirez Velasquez at UFC-200, however he is also a former team mate of Jon Jones. So, this may be fight worth watching. Travis certainly has a superior résumé as opposed to Ovince Saint Preux however, like him, he has been in 2 cards losing both the times.
Last but not the least, there is this choice:
To postpone Jon Jones vs Daniel Cormier battle for the UFC 200 event. This can surely make a hell of a Co-Main affair. Despite the fact that, UFC-197 may lose some shine without Jon Jones battling, leaving Henry Cejudo vs Demetrious Johnson as the UFC 197 main event.

UFC 195 Results and breakdown with awesome videos:
Finally UFC 195 happened at the MGM Grand Arena, Las Vegas Nevada on 2nd of Jan, 2016.
What a way to start the year.
The Co Mian Event featuring Stipe Miocic vs Andrei Arlovski (The Pit Bull) & Main Event featuring Robbie Lawler vs Carlos Condit (natural born killer) for welterweight championship. Robbie started his fighting career when he was 19 years old. On the other hand Carlos will have height and reach advantage and has a very unique style of fighting.
Andrei has not lost any fight since he invaded UFC and has a 7 win streak. Stipe has defeated Mark Hunt, Big Foot Silva and Junior Dos Santos. Andrei is ranked as second best heavy weight fighter in the world and Miocic is ranked as third best heavy weight fighter. Don’t forget that Andrei is a former champion too!!
Tony Sims vs Abel Trujillo:
Tony had reach and height advantage from the beginning and Sims was scoring quite well but when he tried to take Abel down, Abel gets a chowk and wins by submission.
This was Abel’s second submission win.
-By the way, look out for Bantamweight Championship TJ Dillashaw vs Dominick Cruz on January 17th…!
The next fight was between Brian Ortega (trained by Gracie Family) vs Diego Brandao
Brian is one of the youngest fighters (age is 24) and has an undefeated fighting career.
Diego has powerful striking power but it’s not only about power, its about technique. During the first two rounds Brandao owned the center of Octagon but couldn’t do damage. Brian wins with a beautiful triangle chowk submission. Do watch it, it was a beautiful transition..! Brian remains undefeated!!
Lorenz Larkin vs Albert Tumenov:
Larkins throwed loads of leg kicks which took all the punching power away from Tumenov. Larkin had the kicking advantage and Tumenov had punching advantage. The fight was won by Albert Tumenov according to scores & unanimus decision. As far as I rate this fight, the fight was won by Larkin.
Note: At UFC 196 which will take place on 6th of Feb, 2016 at MGM Grand Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada-there will be a rematch between Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum
Stipe Miocic vs Andrei Arlovski:
Well well well …within the first few seconds of the first round Miocic knocked out Arlovski by landing a powerful punch..just like that..!
Now Stipe Miocic becomes the number one contender for the heavy weight championship.
The Main Event eventually – Carlos vs Lawler:
It was the second title defense for Lawler.
In the first round, although Lawler owned the center of Octagon but Carlos stunned him with an excellent punch, he was tagged badly but recovered. Excellent foot movement and combination shown by Carlos. 1st round was won by Carlos, he kept on attacking and brought variety to it.
2nd Round was won by Lawler, big punch landed on Carlos’s face. The volume of attack favors Carlos as he lands loads of combinations. The momentum kept on changing.
3rd Round, Carlos landed more strikes then Lawler has thrown. Till the 3rd round Carlos landed 247 strikes and Lawler 67 thus giving the striking advantage to Carlos.
4th Round, Carlos lands an awesome inside leg kick. This round was won by Carlos, excellent combinations landed, knee, elbows and kicks…!
5th round was the best round, leaving everything behind both fighters start to get lose. I loved it..at the end of the fight, both fighters were so exhausted that they had to lean against the cage. Robbie was the champion, he won and defended well because of his attacks being very prominent and powerful.
Below are some awesome videos relevant to ufc 195:
UFC 194 took place in MGM Arena Las Vegas Nevada on 12th of December, 2015.
It was one of the most crowded events of all times.
The main and co main events were the prominent factors.
The main event was between Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo.
The co main event was between Weidman and Luke Rockhold.
This event was attended by 16000 plus spectators and millions around the world, making it the biggest UFC event in history so far.
Conor McGregor vs Jose Aldo:
Fans around the world were anxiously waiting for this fight. The fight although ended in a very
astonishing manner i.e. within few seconds. Earlier the fight was scheduled at UFC 189 but because of Jose’s rib injury couldn’t take place. During the time of Aldo’s injury, Conor became interim Champion by defeating Chad Mendes.
The eyes were set on this particular fight. In punch exchange, Jose Aldo got punched before his punch landed on conor’s face and the fight was over. Jose Aldo had an un defeated record for 10 years and I have a lot of respect for him.
One thing I admire about Conor is that he always backs it up, what he says he proves.
I would love to watch a rematch between Conor and Jose. Conor was the better man and stole the show. Bottom line Conor is now the featherweight champion!
Weidman vs Luke Rockhold
UFC 193 and 194 showed biggest upsets ever. At UFC 193 Holmes defeated Ronda, I am glad for Holmes as she deserved it and wish her all the best. The best fighter always shows respect to other fighters, I think Ronda was too over confident, a proof of that is that she refused to touch gloves before the start of fight. The second upset was the defeat of Weidman, Luke fought in an excellent manner and used great technique. At the end it was a brutal knock out by Luke.
Luke kicking technique and power is excellent, during the first round, Luke throwed loads of leg kicks and kicks to body. I would love to see Weidman and Luke rock again!
Romero Vs Souza
It was a close fight, in the first two rounds Romero did the most damage but in the third round Souza was able to take down Romero and throwed some damaging blows but as a split decision Romero won the fight.
Maia Vs Nelson
Demian Maia is one of my favorite submission fighters, he has won most his fights through submissions, he is one of the best submission artists. I would say on ground and in grappling, Maia had an edge over Nelson since the start of fight. I appreciate Nelson Defensive technique but the winner was Maia and he won the fight in a dominant manner.
Max Holloway def. Jeremy Stephens by unanimous decision
UFC 195 will feature Lawler Vs Condit, can’t wait to see this fight…stay tuned!
